What is Outdo?
An Outdo is any hair style you wear freely including blowouts, twistouts and curlouts, and other quick styles for kinky, curly, wavy or straight hair.
Are your products 100% natural?
Although we strive to use as many natural ingredients as possible, synthetic ingredients (such as thickeners, preservatives and fatty alcohols) are used when necessary. We are committed to using ingredients that are natural derived and cruelty free as much as possible.
What's the shelf life?
Our products are tested to use up to 1 year after opening. Please note that natural variations in the ingredients we use in our products can cause slight texture, color and scent variations that are not indicative of products gone bad. Colors van vary from white to tan and scents can be very nutty to faintly cocoa.
I have a perm, can I use the Outdo products?
Absolutely! While our products are designed to meet the unique needs of highly textured (wavy, curly, kinky) hair, many people with straight hair benefit from using our products to smooth down hair, create natural styles and add moisture.
What products will work for my hair type?
Hair typing is a cool guide to use to determine if a product will work for your hair, but there are also other things to consider when determining what products to use. The porosity of your hair (the ability of your hair to absorb moisture), density (how much hair you have-fine, medium, thick) are even more important in determining what product is best for your hair. Test your hair porosity by doing this simple test: 1. Fill a glass with tap water. 2. Pull a clean strand of hair from your head. Place the strand in the water. If it sinks instantly, the hair is highly porous If it floats, the porosity is low. Here is a useful guide to using our line based on porosity and density.

I have very kinky hair with very small tight curls, will your products help me achieve a looser curl pattern?
Our styling products are not chemically altering and are designed to work with your natural curl pattern/texture. No styling product will be able to alter your natural curl pattern without the use of chemicals. If you are seeking a loose curly look, try using one of our styling products to create a twistout, braidout or bantu-knot out.
Are your products safe for kids?
Absolutely! However, make sure to perform a patch test on a small area of the skin to ensure that there is no allergic reaction. Many of our products contain nut derived ingredients (such as sweet almond oil) that children with nut allergies should avoid.
